Photographic Notes

These are all taken with an analog 35 mm (Leica M2) on B&W film.

They explore rhythm through materials and light. Wherever I travel, I look very intensely at the surroundings, I pay attention to all details and once I feel connected to the environment, I take out the small camera. I frame, shoot and turn the camera in seemingly random ways, shooting again in different positions. The photographs line up on the film in a rhythm of lines and shapes as I saw them in the landscapes or in other subjects which surround me.

I select two or three images together as they are on the contact sheet without any re-arrangements and that is the way I print them.

They are not collages.

All prints are in an edition of 30 printed on a sheet of RC paper of 30x40 cm
